A charming antique hand-pieced and hand-quilted Double T quilt in vibrant cheddar yellow, warm taupe, and creamy white.
c1920ā1940, this wonderful quilt features 20 repeating blocks arranged in a traditional four-by-five layout with a warm taupe sashing. Beautiful hand quilting is evident throughout, including closely spaced parallel stitching along the sashing and a combination of straight-line and decorative quilting within the blocks.
The reverse is finished in a simple creamy white fabric, allowing the hand quilting to be appreciated from both sides.
Good antique condition with age-appropriate wear. The quilt retains its beautiful cheddar coloring and lovely quilted texture. There are scattered small areas of discoloration and spotting, including a few small spots on the white fabric, along with a small area of wear or thinning along the taupe sashing near the edge.
