Antique Nine-Patch Star Variation Quilt, c1880–1910

Wonderful old fabrics and such a striking design! 🖤💛🩷 This antique quilt features a Nine-Patch Star variation, with diamond-set patchwork centers surrounded by pink points and sunny yellow triangles. Blue-gray floral sashing frames an assortment of striped, checked, and patterned fabrics.

Estimated c1880–1910, based on the fabrics and construction, with hand quilting visible throughout.

Condition includes fading and uneven color loss, scattered spotting, and several worn or split patches. One checked-and-striped block has significant fabric loss exposing the batting, as photographed. The cream reverse shows both lighter discoloration and a cluster of darker brown stains. Some wear is also visible along the edges.
