A 19th-century wooden utility caddy, likely c1880-1900, with a shaped center divider and cutout handhold, dovetailed/nailed construction and a beautifully simple utilitarian form. And the surface! The muted sage green paint appears to be original or very early, with years of honest wear.Ā

Perfect for gathering smalls, holding candles or brushes, or simply sitting on a table or cupboard and letting that old green paint do all the work. Wonderful primitive character and patina throughout. Please review all photographs for condition and surface details.
