Small in size, full of charm. π€ This miniature painted pantry box features a warm salmon-red ground, dark mottled decoration, and softly faded floral motifs across its lid and sides.
Dated to the mid-to-late 19th century, circa 1850β1880, based on its bentwood construction and form. Its fitted lift-off lid and tiny proportions make it a lovely addition to a collection of early painted woodenware.
Surface wear, paint loss, and small splits and chipped areas around the overlapping seams are visibleβplease see the close-up photographs for condition.
