Small Green Painted Splint Basket with Wrapped Handle, c1900–1920

A little basket with such a lovely shape! 💚 This small ribbed splint basket features an open weave, a beautifully wrapped arched handle, and softly worn pale green paint. Its gently scalloped profile gives it wonderful country character.

Estimated c1900–1920. The painted surface shows scattered wear, with a few small breaks and losses to the splints, particularly underneath, as photographed.

A charming piece to display among early woodenware or alongside a stack of antique textiles.
